
Perry G. Smith received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University
of Georgia School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of
the Georgia Law Review and was the recipient of the Newell Edenfield
scholarship for ranking in the top 10% of his first year class.
Mr. Smith received his B.A. from Brigham Young University.
Mr. Smith has achieved successful resolutions in lawsuits in state
and federal court for discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment,
wrongful termination, unpaid wages, breach of contract, misappropriation
of trade secrets and other employment-related claims.
Mr. Smith has lectured on employment law subjects including discrimination
and harassment, employee privacy issues, wage and hour law and wrongful
termination, among other topics. Mr. Smith has also written articles
on employment law issues for various publications.
Before forming Barritt Smith LLP, Mr. Smith was an attorney in
the Labor and Employment Law Department of Payne & Fears LLP
in Irvine, California.
In addition to his law practice, Mr. Smith is a mediator of employment-related
disputes serving on the Alternative Dispute Resolution panel of
the Los Angeles Superior Court.
